Harry Houdini was intentionally shackled and submerged in a tank of water on Oct 24, 1826. It was his last performance. He died, likely, of appendicitis. There are many of ways to be shackled and/or submerged, intentionally, by someone else, by your mind. Trapped takes an esoteric look at the concept using acrylic gel image transfers, religious iconography, chains, coins, an old and rusting door hinge. It’s the paper and pencil, plus the paint, paste, pastel’s, pens and just about anything else that gets the work to where it’s going.
